Enchong Dee facilitates meeting of Kim Chiu and Simon Atkins

Enchong Dee reportedly facilitated the recent meeting of Kim Chiu and Simon Atkins.

Enchong was a champion swimmer when he was still a student at De La Salle University (DLSU). His swimming coach called him up to ask him to introduce Simon to Kim. Kim has yet to comment on how her first encounter with Simon went.

Ombudsman Merceditas Gutierrez Impeachment Starts

The justice committee of the Philippines’ House of Representative has started the first impeachment hearing against Ombudsman Merceditas Gutierrez at past 10AM today.

Gutierrez was not present in the hearing but was represented by her lawyer Anacleto Diaz. Diaz said that his client will not “avoid or skirt the proceedings.”

Ronald Singson resigns as congressman

Ronald Singson has resigned as congressman of the first district of Ilocos Sur.

A one-page resignation letter was presented to Speaker Feliciano Belmonte Jr. by Ronald’s father, Ilocos Sur Governor Chavit Singson. He said that he was resigning not because of pressures from his fellow congressman but as a fulfillment of his promise to his father. Ronald was found guilty by a Hong Kong court of trafficking cocaine for his personal use and was sentenced to 18 months in prison.
