Filipino-Spanish Angel Aldeguer set to play for the Azkals

26-year-old Filipino-Spanish Angel Aldeguer is the newest member of the Philippine Azkals.

He is just waiting for the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) approval. He’s been playing football since he was 6 years old and he played forward for Spanish third division Club Deportivo Ronda. He also also trained with Spain’s first division team. His mother is a Filipina who reportedly hails from Ilagan, Isabela

Angelica Panganiban vs Azkals fan on Twitter

Actress Angelica Panganiban on Thursday engaged in a “Twitter war” against the fans of Azkals striker Phil Younghusband.

It all started when Angelica tweeted, “Si Phil may indie film? Akala ko ba football player siya??? Lahat na lang artista na. Sad.” Minutes after her tweet, Azkals fans came to the rescue and replied to her. But there’s this one particular fan, @anilmorales who earned the ire of Angelica. “@anilmorales” used profanities directed to Angelica and her boyfriend actor Derek Ramsey just to defend Phil. Angelica was so upset that she will reportedly take the matter to court (libel?).

Mga Nagbabagang Bulaklak is an upcoming drama series on TV5.

Members of its cast include Ruffa Gutierrez, Richard Gomez, Phillip Salvador, Sheryl Cruz, and Valerie Concepcion. “This is a story about power and fame. This is a story about young women who wanna become famous.” revealed Ruffai Gutierrez. This is TV5′s second dramaserye after Babaeng Hampaslupa.

Filipino actor Paquito Diaz dies

Actor Paquito Diaz reportedly died at about 8PM Thursday in his home in Daraga, Albay.

The cause of death was due to pneumonia complications. He was 73. His remains was brought to the Funeraria Nuestra Senora de Salvacion.

Erich Gonzales as Maria del Barrio – ABS-CBN

ABS-CBN is set to do a Filipino adaptation of the 1995 hit Mexican telenovela “Maria del Barrio.”

Erich Gonzales will play the lead role while Enchong Dee will play her leading man, Luis Fernando. “I’m very privileged na maging parte ng ‘Maria la del Barrio,’” said Enchong.
