Meet the New Charlie’s Angels

The cast for ABC’s reboot of the classic action series in the 70s has been completed.

The new Charlie’s Angels are:

Minka Kelly, 30 y/o (Friday Night Lights)

Annie Ilonzeh, 27 y/o (General Hospital)

Rachael Taylor, 26 y/o (Transformers, Grey’s Anatomy)

The series’ focus will be on three women who work as a team of private investigators in Miami who receive their orders from the mysterious Charlie Townsend (Robert Wagner voices him in this incarnation).

Serving as one of the executive producers for the show is actress Drew Barrymore, who also played a Charlie’s angel in two films. Alfred Gough and Miles Millar from Smallville will be the writers for the series.

GMA-7 Celebrates Kapuso Month this February

“Dahil ang maGMAmahal, natural sa Kapuso” – this is GMA’s slogan for the Kapuso month of February!

This is the reason behind GMA Network, Inc.’s efforts this February as the Network celebrates Kapuso Month with love-filled offerings to warm viewers’ hearts.

To kick off Kapuso Month, GMA brings the tandem of Regine Velasquez and Dingdong Dantes to primetime television via the romantic comedy, I Heart You Pare. This much-anticipated series—set in the colorful world of Club Love, where drag queens rule—premieres February 7 on GMA Telebabad.

On Dramarama sa Hapon, Kapuso fans can expect new programs that will be sure to tug on their heartstrings: Nita Negrita, with Barbie Forteza and Joshua Dionisio; Sisid with Jackie Rice, Ian Batherson and Dominic Roco; and Magic Palayok with Geoff Eigenmann, Carla Abellana, Nadine Samonte, Angeli Nicole Sanoy and Ms. Cherie Gil.

Come February 9, GMA Films and Regal Entertainment’s My Valentine Girls hits cinemas. The romantic trilogy partners Kapuso hunk Richard Gutierrez with some of today’s most sought-after leading ladies—Rhian Ramos, Lovi Poe, Solenn Heussaff, and Eugene Domingo. Child wonder Jillian Ward will also be part of this film.

Then on February 13, catch international singing sensation Charice in her GMA special, Charice: Home for Valentine’s.

Throughout February, fans can be sure to catch other Kapuso Month festivities as GMA programs toast this special time with viewers.

In the regions, it’s double the fun as Kapuso stars bring the Kapuso Month celebrations to the Bacolaodiat Festival in Bacolod City on February 4; the Paraw Regatta in Iloilo City on February 18 to 19; and the Panagbenga Flower Festival in Baguio City on February 27.

On igma.tv and Facebook, fans can participate in the Kapuso Month activities via discussions and quizzes on matters of the heart.

TV 5 My Driver Sweet Lover Takes Final Route this Week

TV5′s first kilig-serye My Driver Sweet Lover nears its last stop as it goes on its finale week. More explosive revelations and heart stopping highlights are coming your way as Rocky (JC de Vera) and Gaby (Danita Paner) beat the odds for their love for each other.

Find out how far Araceli (Dina Bonnevie) will go in draining the Barrinuevo’s coffers. Gaby’s scheming stepmom stoops down so low even her daughter Monique (Arci Muñoz), who used to be her partner in crime, will do everything she can to stop her mother’s wickedness.

The kilig cat-and-dog fight between Rocky and Gaby will go on as the hotel heiress, bit by bit, realizes that the charming driver is indeed Randy, her childhood “frenemy” back when they were housed in an orphanage.

Richard Gutierrez and Solenn Heussaff – Cosmopolitan February 2011 Cover

The Valentine Box-Office King Richard Gutierrez is on the cover of Cosmopolitan Philippines together with one of his leading ladies, Solenn Heussaff.

t’s “couple” issue once again for Cosmopolitan magazine because it’s Valentine’s month. Just like last year, it’s a double cover issue with the covergirl on the front side and she and her partner together on the back side.

Last year it was Angelica Panganiban on the cover and of course, on the reversed side, she’s joined by her boyfriend Derek Ramsay.

This year, it’s Richard Gutierrez and Solenn Heussaff, as the featured couple on Cosmo. Although they are not officially a couple yet, rumor has it that the two are getting there.

Solenn is a good friend of Richard and she is one of his leading ladies in his upcoming romantic movie “My Valentine Girls.”

Luv Crazy on TV5 this February

Luv Crazy is a youth-oriented romantic mini-series on TV5 that will air every Sunday (after PO5) for the month of February. It stars young Indie actor Jay Aquitania, Pilipinas Got Talent finalist Markki Stroem, Bb. Pilipinas International 2008 Patricia Fernandez and Star Factor winner Eula Caballero.

It will start airing this Sunday, February 6, after PO5 (that’s the timeslot of ABS-CBN’s Your Song and GMA’s Tween Hearts).

Enchong Dee and Erich Gonzales – MEG February 2011 Cover

Enchong Dee and Erich Gonzales have been together in various TV and movie projects and they become very close…as friends.

Erich revealed during her interview in the launching of a product endorsement that Enchong is currently “eyeing” for someone to become his girlfriend and it’s definitely not her. Rumor has it that Kim Chiu is the apple of the young actor’s eyes and he would like to take the friendship with the .

Enchong, on the other hand, also hinted that his partner Erich is “blooming” nowadays in time for Valentines. In an interview by SNN last night, Enchong said “Masasabi ko naman na masaya rin naman si Erich, inspired din naman siya, kaya masayang masaya ang relationship namin, pareho kaming masaya.”

John Estrada apologizes to Willie Revillame

Actor John Estrada has apologized to TV host Willie Revillame for accepting a noontime show project on ABS-CBN.

“..alam ko na nasaktan ka at humihingi ako ng dispensa. Pero mamatay na buong pamilya ko, nung pinatawag ako [ng ABS-CBN], ikaw ang una kong inisip at sinabi ko kay Randy kailangan kausapin ka na namin. Kaya lang tuma-timing kami, pero ‘yun nga naunahan na naman,” part of John Estrada’s purported text message to Revillame. Willie was really upset that John and Randy Santiago accepted the offer from the Kapamilya network when he has been in a negotiation with TV5 executives for a noontime show for them.

Piolo Pascual finally admit their relationship with KC Concepcion

Actor Piolo Pascual revealed the real score between him and actress-TV host KC Concepcion.

In an interview with Charlene Gonzales on ABS-CBN’s The Buzz, Piolo said that he and KC are in a romantic relationship that started last October 21. It took the actor two years of wooing before KC finally said yes. “For the first time in more than 8 years, I’m getting into a relationship, a commitment. And I’m planning to keep it,” he said. Meanwhile, KC Concepcion is happy that Piolo opened up about their relationship.

ABS-CBN - Precious Hearts Romances presents Mana Po

Precious Hearts Romances presents Mana Po is an upcoming series on ABS-CBN.

It is topbilled by former Pinoy Big Brother Double Up housemates Melai Cantiveros and Jason Francisco (Melason). Members of its cast include Tom Rodriguez, RR Enriquez, Giselle Sanchez, and Buboy Garovillo. PHR presents Mana Po premieres in February.

ABS-CBN will launch a new noontime show

ABS-CBN network will soon launch a new noontime variety show.

The said show will be hosted by Toni Gonzaga, Mariel Rodriguez, Randy Santiago and John Estrada. It still has no working title as of posting time. Meanwhile, Willing Willie host Willie Revillame was reportedly upset over the decision of John and Randy to return to ABS-CBN when he was already negotiating for them to also do a noontime show on TV5.

Willie Revillame had a phone conversation with John Estrada, which was seen live on his TV show, TV5′s Willing Willie.

Willie was visibly upset that John and Randy Santiago accepted an offer from ABS-CBN to do a noontime show when apparently he has already negotiated with the executives of TV5 in behalf of John and Randy. “Pag nag-Channel 2 ka at nag-noontime show ka dyan, wala kang kaibigan na Willie. Masakit ‘yang gagawin niyo sa’kin dahil inayos ko na, nag-meeting na ko kagabi, tungkol sa noontime show dito [TV5]. ‘Yun lang.” he said. “Hindi na ko pupunta sa kasal mo [John's wedding], maghanap ka na ng ibang best man,” he added.
