Sarah Geronimo and Cristine Reyes kiss and make up

Pop Star Princess Sarah Geronimo and actress Cristine Reyes finally ended their rift last March 20.

They kissed and made up at the backstage of ABS-CBN’s musical variety show “ASAP Rocks.” Sarah was the first one to approach Cristine and embraced her tightly and apologized to her for any misunderstanding. Cristine Reyes’ response was “O, sorry… Sorry rin.” Cristine also said sorry to Sarah’s mother, Divine. Their rift started when Sarah earned the ire of Cristine over the former’s joke that a sexy woman would also chase a guy who is a good dancer.

Manny Pacquiao deletes his Twitter account

Sarangani representative and boxing superstar Congressman Manny Pacquiao deleted his Twitter account in the wake of criticism of his casual tweet on the impeachment of Ombudsman Merceditas Gutierrez.

“I’m watching impeachment trial very interesting topic good night everyone thanks,” Pacquiao (@CongMP) tweeted. One twitter user replied, “Why the f**k did you run for congress when you know you’d barely be present?” said @RAndRat. Congressman MP surprisingly replied, “e di mag reklamo ka sa lolo mong panot hahahaha.” Then the online flurry started, which finally pushed Pacquiao to delete his account. “Sorry everyone but hanggang dito nalang delete ko na account ko thank you very much to (sic) all your support.”

John Apacible dies in shooting incident

Actor John Apacible (Enrique Rustia Apacible in real life) was reportedly shot dead by his uncle after a heated argument at Primerose Street in a subdivision in Cainta, Rizal at around 3AM, police said.

He was declared dead on arrival at the Metro Rizal Doctor’s Hospital in Cainta, Rizal after two bullets of a 9 mm pistol hit his chest and pierced his heart. The suspect is the victim’s 61-year-old uncle Armando Rustia who rode a motorcycle and fled towards an unknown direction after the incident. He portrayed Lt. Col. Santiago in ABS-CBN’s TV series “Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin.”

Baby James (Bimby) on James Yap and Isabel Oli

Kris Aquino and James Yap’s son Baby James allegedly revealed in an interview that actress Isabel Oli is his father’s girlfriend.

Ricky Lo asked Baby James, “Who’s your Papa’s girlfriend?” Baby James or Bimby answered, “Isabel” When his mother Kris asked him if he wanted to meet Isabel, Bimby answered No. Ricky sought the side of James Yap but declined to comment on Bimby’s revelation and reiterated that he and Isabel are just friends.

Maria Ozawa survives the Japan Earthquake and Tsunami

Japanese-French-Canadian adult video actress Maria Ozawa assured fans that she survived the magnitude-9 earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan and that she is okay.

The 25-year-old actress remained optimistic on Japan’s future. “We as Japanese people can overcome these hardships #PrayForJapan,” she tweeted. “Thanks for supporting #PrayForJapan i love you forever and ever! guys ^^” she added.

Jodi Sta Maria and Pampi Lacson breakup

Pampi Lacson, son of Senator Panfilo Lacson revealed that he and wife actress Jodi Sta. Maria have been separated for 7 months now.

He, however, denied rumors that he had been abusing his wife. Jodi is still living in their conjugal home in Parañaque, with their son, 6-year-old Thirdy and decided not to elaborate more on the issue to protect the kid.

Neil Coleta (Nicos of Nestea) is now a Kapamilya!

Neil Coleta who plays Nicos in the hit TV commercial of Nestea Iced Tea revealed that he is now with ABS-CBN.

“Kapamilya na po ako kaya abangan niyo po ako,” he said. His first project will be a soap opera. “Excited na ako sa soap na yun. Mga big stars ang kasama ko. Confidential pa yung title pero nag-pictorial na kami at ginawa na po yung teaser. Yung role ko dun medyo comedy,” he added. There were also plans to pair him up with Coleen Ortega Garcia (who plays Mattina) but the Nestea bosses didn’t approve.

Mara Clara star Kathryn Bernardo aired her reaction on the girl on YouTube who cried over the death of her character Mara.

As of posting time, the said video has 870,703 views. “Hindi ko ine-expect na magiging ganoon ang response niya sa Mara Clara. Kaya lang, medyo naawa rin po ako sa kanya kasi talagang nagwawala po siya. Parang siya talaga yung namatayan.” she said. “Gusto ko pong ma-comfort siya dahil baka hanggang ngayon, depressed pa rin siya.” she added.

Actor Paulo Avelino’s pictures or photos from his underwear pictorial for Bench’s Return To Tempation campaign are making the rounds on the Internet.

It gained controversy after one of the photos or pictures allegedly showed a sneak peek of his private part. But how daring is the young actor willing to go? He is willing to go n*ude for a pictorial. “[K]asi may mga paraan naman ng paggawa ng ganyang klase na magandang tingnan at maganda sa mata. Yung hindi naman kabastos-bastos tingnan. Willing Willie TV host Willie Revillame is featured in a full-page article in the Asian edition of Wall Street Journal (March 4-6 edition).

The article written by James Hookway titled “Willing Willie’ jolts Philippine TV” credits Willie for “upsetting the hierarchy of Philippine TV” since his transfer from ABS-CBN to TV5. According to AGB Nielsen data for the 4th quarter of 2010, TV5 grabbed 29% of the weekend prime-time audience to become number 2 in Mega Manila. GMA-7 placed number 1 with 31% audience share while ABS-CBN slid to number 3 with 23%.

Jennylyn Mercado – Women’s Health Philippines March 2011

Actress Jennylyn Mercado is on the cover of the March 2011 issue of Women’s Health Philippines magazine.

She was recently operated on for tonsillitis at the St Luke’s Hospital and was also charged with perjury by her former personal assistant, Rowena “Mel” Pulmano for allegedly lying under oath that resulted in the filing of qualified theft charges against the latter.

Daughter of actress Melissa Mendez, Denisse Oca clarified the rumor that she is the current girlfriend of Azkals striker Phil Younghusband.

“No, I’m sorry but you got your facts wrong. I’m not his girlfriend. Pls don’t indulge in such rumors. Thank you.” she (@d_oca) tweeted. Phil also aired the same sentiment saying that he and Denisse are just friends.

After reconciling with his father, WBO and WBC bantamweight champion Nonito Donaire, Jr. has created a new rift.

This time it’s against sportswriters Chino Trinidad, Recah Trinidad, Anthony Andales, and Granville Ampong. It all started when Nonito’s wife, Rachel blamed the said sportswriters for blowing their family feud out of proportion for their own gain. Nonito then posted this on his facebook page, “Chino, Pinol, n Ampong. Shut up n Leave my family alone: the Donaires n Marcials, esp my wife. Keep talking n ull feel what Montiel felt. U won’t see it, ull just feel it. Sonic Boom!!” Chino then posted his tirades on Twitter (@chino3nidad) against Nonito and Rachel, “Nonito Jr. I am not gonna fight you atop the ring but one thing I know, I will never runaway from a good fight.” part of Chino’s tweet said.

Nonito Donaire Jr reconciles with dad

WBO and WBC bantamweight champion Nonito Donaire, Jr. and wife Rachel Marcial Donaire reportedly reconciled with Nonito Donaire, Sr. ending a rift that lasted three years.

Nonito Jr. and Rachel went to Nonito Sr.’s home in California and had a heart-to-heart talk. “We just want to make things right. Both sides suffered a lot of pain, suffered a lot of everything from sleepless nights and embarrassment,” the boxing superstar said.

The Philippine Azkals football team is on the cover of the March 2011 issue or the “Men Issue” of Metro Society magazine.

Actress Angelica Panganiban on Thursday engaged in a “Twitter war” against the fans of Azkals striker Phil Younghusband.

It all started when Angelica tweeted, “Si Phil may indie film? Akala ko ba football player siya??? Lahat na lang artista na. Sad.” Minutes after her tweet, Azkals fans came to the rescue and replied to her. But there’s this one particular fan, @anilmorales who earned the ire of Angelica. “@anilmorales” used profanities directed to Angelica and her boyfriend actor Derek Ramsey just to defend Phil. Angelica was so upset that she will reportedly take the matter to court (libel?).

Filipino actor Paquito Diaz dies

Actor Paquito Diaz reportedly died at about 8PM Thursday in his home in Daraga, Albay.

The cause of death was due to pneumonia complications. He was 73. His remains was brought to the Funeraria Nuestra Senora de Salvacion.
