Temptation Island movie (2011 remake)

Temptation Island is an upcoming movie remake of the 1980 comedy film of the same title directed by the late Joey Gosiengfiao.

It will be topbilled by Marian Rivera, Heart Evangelista, Lovi Poe and Solenn Heussaff. Members of its cast include Aljur Abrenica, Paulo Avelino, Tom Rodriguez, Rufa Mae Quinto, and John “Sweet” Lapus. Tempation Island (2011) is produced by Regal Films and GMA Films and will be directed by Chris Martinez.

Basted movie – Skylight

Basted is an upcoming under Skylight, the digital production arm of Star Cinema.

It is topbilled by Matteo Guidicelli and Maja Salvador. “Basted is about a girl who can’t keep a steady relationship. Palagi siyang nagba-basted ng mga lalake. I play Carlo, a rapper and part-time waiter.” Matteo said. The movie also features a cameo appearance of Melason (Melai Cantiveros and Jason Francisco).

Star Cinema Present: Kakalas, Kakasal Movie

Kakalas, Kakasal is the tentative title of an upcoming movie under Star Cinema.

It is topbilled by Toni Gonzaga and Eugene Domingo. Members of its cast include Wendell Ramos, Zanjoe Marudo, Miriam Quiambao, and Say Alonzo. It was also reported that the movie’s title is Kasalan, Kalasan. It is directed by Jose Javier Reyes.

Star Cinema: Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes in a New Movie

Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes will star in a movie under Star Cinema.

Kathryn and Julia are the lead stars of the #1 primetime soap 'Mara Clara' and now it's about time that they star in a new Star Cinema movie where they also play the
lead roles.

I'm positive it's going to be a box office hit, especially that the movie will also star their Mara Clara leading man Albie Casiño and will be directed by (wow!) Cathy Garcia-Molina.

Sadly John Manalo, also from Mara Clara, isn't part of the movie. It's "Sabel" leading man AJ Perez instead who's joining Kathryn, Julia and Albie in the film.

Catch Me…Im in Love Movie – Star Cinema and Viva Entertainment

“Catch Me…I’m in Love” is an upcoming movie under Star Cinema and Viva Entertainment.

It is topbilled by Sarah Geronimo and Gerald Anderson. Members of its cast include Matteo Guidicelli, Dawn Zulueta, Christopher de Leon, Joey Marquez, Arlene Muhlach, Ketchup Eusebio, Alchris Galura, and Dino Imperial. “Catch Me…I’m in Love” is directed by Mae Cruz and premieres on March 23, 2011 in over 100 theaters nationwide.

Star Cinema Presents - Tum: My Pledge of Love

“Tum: My Pledge of Love” is an upcoming movie, which was written, directed and produced by Robin Padilla.

It is topbilled by Robin Padilla and his wife, Mariel Rodriguez. Members of its cast include Ejay Falcon and Queenie Padilla. The movie was reportedly shot in India. “Tum: My Pledge of Love” is set to premiere on March 16, and will be released nationwide by Star Cinema.

Vic Sotto on his movie with Bea Alonzo and Zaijian Jaranilla

Ace comedian and TV host Vic Sotto revealed some details about his yet-untitled-movie with Bea Alonzo and Zaijian Jaranilla (more popularly known as Santino).

“Ako’y isang faith healer na gumagamit ng alternative medicine. By stroke of faith nakilala ko si Zaijian who’s from heaven, na siya yung talagang may powers to heal people. On the side, si Bea naman is a doctor of medicine. So it’s a clash between science and faith healing. So kung papaano kami magka-clash at magkakagustuhan yun ang malaking problema.” he said. The said movie is a joint project between Star Cinema and M-Zet Productions. Vic also clarified that there will be no kissing scene between him and Bea.

Viva Films Present Tumbok Movie

Tumbok is an upcoming horror movie produced by Viva Films.

It is topbilled by Cristine Reyes and Carlo Aquino. Tumbok is directed by Topel Lee who directed the “Isla” episode of the horror movie and MMFF entry Shake Rattle and Roll XII. “Talagang pinag-aaralan niya [Topel] bawat eksena — mapasimpleng eksena man ito o heavy scene. Marami din akong natututunan.” Cristine said of the director.
